Great tips! I have 5 kids and I was sick with all of them. Here are mine: Chew Gum, suck on candy, chew on ice, lemon/citrus, felt instant relief in the detergent section of any store so a candle with that kind of scent would be great. Eat protein at bedtime. Avoid any place with mixed food smells. The supermarket rotisserie chicken/deli section killed me. Eat whatever you can and don’t worry about following a specific diet as long as you aren’t consuming anything dangerous for the baby. Prayerfully you will more than make up for it once the nausea passes.

Yes I am 6 weeks 2 days and I have learned the hard way of not eating enough protein before bed. What set me the light bulb was that my boyfriend woke me up from the couch to go to bed one night and he made me eat a piece of chicken because he felt it had been too long since I ate. The next morning was the only morning I had with no nausea. Will definitely work that into my routine

I’m in my first trimester right now and nausea has been ROUGH!! Thank you for the tips. Sea band is in the mail to try and I will try Coke when needed. I did buy some peppermint treats and I feel like they make me burp a lot, so maybe I should just try the oil!! Ty!!

Great tips – I’ll keep those in mind for when we get pregnant! Although I must admit I’m a little sad this wasn’t your sneaky way of telling us you’re pregnant 😉 lol

Well my life hack: when you really feel like you have to throw up you have to hum. I do not know why, but it helps a lot for me.

I don’t like the smell of peppermint when I’m pregnant.. 😞 I do find snacking more often very useful… I snack on fruit most of the time.

i totally used to drink coke wen i was nauseous in the car, and my favorite instant snack was flavoured yougurt cups or a glass of cold milk, sweet corn or small chocolate milk tetra packs

The only foods that sound somewhat appetizing to me during this pregnant are the go-gurt tubes and saltines. Everything else…I wanna puke even thinking about. 😩

The sea bands only worked for me until about the 8th week. The only thing that has consistently kept the nausea at bay is unisom + vitamin b6. That’s because I had the all day nausea where I couldn’t even hold down water. I started out taking a half tab of unisom and 25 mg b6 in the morning and afternoon, and then a full pill of unisom and 50 mg b6 before bed. As the nausea subsided, I was eventually able to wean myself to a half tab + 50mg before bed only. I’m on week 13, and if I skip this, I am throwing up all day. The only downside is that the unisom can cause constipation, so you have to make sure you are eating a lot of fiber. My favorite snacks are red grapes, cereal with milk, and fruit smoothies.
